It’s funny how epiphany moments or moments of reflection can come upon you at unexpected times. My wife and I were in the car the other day discussion the origin of Freedom Videography and the nature of why we started this business.
In June of 2008 on a whim and an impulse buy, we bought a video camera to film my brother’s wedding, and we learned how fun and easy it was to create a professional wedding video. That experience, combined with reading Dave Ramsey’s book The Total Money Makeover, inspired us to start Freedom Videography to provide this service to Brides and Grooms and to pay down our student loan debt.
That day in the car, we also talked about what is in our hearts when we provide this service and why we are truly doing this. Ultimately the reason why we are doing this is to glorify God and to bring glory to his name. We don’t want to simply be a business that provides a service but rather one that allows us to use our skills to show love to people in a way that helps them and will be special to them, much like the way that God treats us every day.
Starting with our next wedding and continuing through the summer, it is our goal and our inspiration to help people in the way they need helping and to pray for each couple before they walk down the aisle. We believe in helping people, and we show our faith through our services. We believe in the sanctity of marriage, and we genuinely want to see each couple that we film live a happy marriage and a happy life. Moving forward this is our pledge:
